A Better Internet

Currently, it feels like most of the internet is a machine designed to destroy peace, joy, sanity, and democracy. That's because it kind of is. Businesses that rely on ad revenue and/or selling user data (it's usually both) are inherently, inevitably, in a race to the bottom. Giant platforms invest billions into being maximally engaging, everything platforms we can never leave, no matter the cost.

And it's not good for any of us.

What's more, I don't like it. That's what brought me here to the indie web, the personal web, the small web, web 1.5, whatever you want to call it. I'm glad you're here, too. I hope you'll find something valuable out here, outside the purview of the billionaires and hedgefunds and planet-and-soul-gobbling elites who control far too much of our day to day.
